Microsoft just announced PowerPivot for Excel 2010 at the SharePoint conference. The product allows you to work with up to 100 Million rows. When saved to SharePoint 2010, the technology is very powerful.
You will be able to interact with the data very quickly, manage security in SharePoint and do some very powerful charting.
